Privacy Policy
Effective: August 19, 2026
jdi (the “Service”) treats your personal information with care and complies with applicable data protection laws. This policy applies to the service provided at jdi.life.
1. Information We Collect
| Category | Items |
| Email sign-up | Username, password (stored encrypted; never in plain text), email (optional), phone number (optional), language preference |
| Social login | The provider's unique identifier, and the email and name (nickname) you agree to share |
| Created while using the Service | Drawing images you upload and your project, item, and catalog data |
| Collected automatically | IP address, browser information (User-Agent), cookies, access and usage logs |
Error diagnostics (automatic, on error) | The error message and where it occurred, app and browser type and version, operating system, screen size, language, account identifier, and drawing metrics (file size, resolution, page and item counts, processing times — numeric values) |
| Desktop app | A device identifier (derived from the unique number your operating system creates at installation), computer name, operating system and version, and the registration and last-used timestamps |
Error diagnostics never include your drawing images, drawing or item names, or coordinates. Only numeric values such as sizes and counts are sent, limited to a predefined list of fields.
We collect only the minimum information needed to operate the Service. Optional fields may be left blank.
2. How We Use It
- Identifying and authenticating members, and managing accounts
- Providing the Service — marking item locations on drawings, quantity take-off, and collaboration
- Security — blocking unauthorized access, defending against brute-force attempts, and restricting administrator access
- Sending essential notices such as password reset emails
- Diagnosing and fixing errors — reproducing failures and improving quality
- Verifying desktop app entitlement and managing device registrations
- Responding to inquiries and improving the Service
3. Retention Periods
| Data | Period |
| Member information | Until you close your account (or longer where required by law) |
| Content you create | Until you delete it or close your account |
| Administrator access logs | Automatically deleted 30 days after collection |
| Error diagnostics | Automatically deleted 90 days after the last occurrence |
| Desktop device registrations | Until the licence is released or you close your account |
| Backups | Rotated and deleted after 30 days |
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not provide your personal information to third parties, except where required by law or in response to a lawful request from authorities.
5. Processors and International Transfers
To operate the Service, personal information may be processed or transferred as follows.
| Processor | Purpose | Data · Country |
| Resend | Delivering notification emails (e.g. password reset) | Recipient email address · United States |
Social login providers (Google, Kakao, Naver, LINE) | Authenticating you when you choose social login | Minimum information required for authentication · Google = United States, Kakao and Naver = Republic of Korea, LINE = Japan |
Your drawings, projects, and other work data are stored on servers we operate directly in the Republic of Korea and are not transferred abroad.
6. Deletion
Personal information is deleted without delay once its retention period expires or its purpose has been fulfilled. Electronic files are erased irrecoverably, and backups are removed on their rotation schedule.
7. Your Rights
You may at any time request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of your personal information, or withdraw your consent by closing your account. You can edit your details directly on the account settings screen; for other requests, contact us at the address below and we will act without delay.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in. It is set as HttpOnly so it cannot be read by scripts in the browser.
- Local storage — remembers preferences such as your screen settings and chosen language.
You may refuse cookies in your browser settings, but some features such as signing in will then be unavailable. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Security Measures
- Passwords are stored using irreversible encryption and are never kept in plain text.
- All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Administrator access rights are restricted, and two-factor authentication (2FA) is supported.
- Access logs are retained and reviewed, and repeated abnormal access is blocked automatically.
- Data is backed up regularly.
10. Sharing and Collaboration
When you share a project with other users, that project's data becomes visible to them. You control who you share with and can revoke access at any time.
11. Desktop App
In the desktop app (Windows and macOS), your drawings and projects are stored only on your computer and are never sent to a server. Communication with our server is limited to the following.
- Sign-in and entitlement checks — you sign in once to confirm your account, after which entitlement is re-checked periodically. A device identifier is sent at that time, registering one computer per account.
- Error diagnostics — if an error occurs, the diagnostic information described in section 1 is sent. Drawing content is not included.
- Update checks — checking whether a newer version exists.
The device identifier is derived from the unique number your operating system creates at installation. It is unrelated to your name, location, or contact details, and is not used for any other purpose.
12. Contact
For questions or requests regarding personal information, please write to leikwon@gmail.com.
13. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will post a notice in the Service at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Changes that materially affect users will be communicated separately.
